Pukka Athletic visited Aslockton and Orston F.C. at their home ground in a quiet village in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir. The clubhouse is sounded by green fields and beautiful trees. Where better to spend your evenings and weekend. It is a home from home for the community, a place to see friends, to catch up on village news and of course play footy.
As we begin to work more closely with grassroots teams, we loved the commitment and support that the club receives from its coaches. We joined an Under 8’s session with their coach Nik. The team had fun but learnt a lot along the way, developing social, leadership, communication and of course, football skills. These young players are building a competitive nature but also understanding the importance of respect for others.
It really drives home the old saying ”it takes a village to raise a child”.
